Provincetown 10 Days of Art Festival September 14-23, 2012
. . . . . .
Thank you for coming to our First Annual Provincetown 10 Days of Art Festival! We are already planning our Second Festival, scheduled for September 14-23, 2012!
2012 Festival's Title: PROVINCETOWN ART NOW!
Join us in 2012 September for 10 Days of Art Festival, September 14-23, when over 50 galleries celebrate the end of Summer and play host to special openings, artist talks, lectures, workshops, demonstrations and much, much more! Ten days of fun, learning, creativity, meeting incredible people, making new friends and collecting art for your home or business!
You are invited to experience a world of art unparalleled in any other corner of this country. A place so rich in art history that students from around the world come to learn the techniques of the masters, so imbued with beauty that artists plant their easels on the sidewalks and beaches – painting the common scene, in uncommon and extraordinary ways.
Each year, during September, the skies over Provincetown take on a quality so indescribable it is referred to simply as "cape light." It is this illusive character of illumination which has enticed exceptional artists to express themselves in ways that shape the world of art. It is during this magical time of nature's unusual colors and fresh breezes, on un-crowded streets, and slower pace that the Provincetown art scene is as its best.
Please come... We hope to see you all!
What is this Red Dot? Every time galleries sell art, they put a red dot next to the sold work of art... Come join the collectors of art and support galleries and artists in our historic art colony ~ the oldest, largest art colony in America!
